The Betsy Ross 1776 Design
The Betsy Ross flag, with its thirteen stars in a circle, is one of the best-loved flags of the Revolution; tradition credits the Philadelphia upholsterer Betsy Ross with sewing the first one. Our design pairs it with “1776” in Caslon, the typeface of the first printed Declaration of Independence. You will find it embroidered on hats and printed on tees, hoodies, stickers and phone cases.
