How Joining, Billing and Cancelling Work

How joining works

  1. Choose a membership. Compare them above: each says what it includes and what it costs a month.
  2. Pay the first month. By card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Shop Pay on Shopify’s secure checkout, or with a PayPal subscription. You see the monthly price before you confirm, and the same amount is charged each month after.
  3. You’re in. Your account opens with your email address and your digital member card is ready at once. A welcome email follows with a sign-in link for your other devices (after a card payment made while signed out, it also has a code that signs you in on the page you paid from).

Billing, cancelling and refunds

How you are billed
The first month is charged when you join, then the same price every month until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no sign-up fee.
How to cancel
Joined with PayPal: cancel in your member portal (Membership, then Cancel membership) or in your PayPal account. Joined by card: cancel in your Shopify customer account at account.patriotmurica.com, under Subscriptions. You can also write to support@patriotmurica.com.
After you cancel
Nothing more is charged, and your membership continues to the end of the month you have paid for.
Refunds
Cancel within 14 days of first joining and we refund your first payment in full on request.
Price changes
We tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal.

Every member receives a digital card, and can order it printed for their wallet: printing is included for Patriot and Heritage members, with $4.95 shipping. Each tier has its own design, with the American flag along the foot, your own member number and a QR code that confirms your membership at events.

Is membership a donation?

No. Membership is a commercial purchase of access, publications and member benefits. It is not a political contribution and is not a tax-deductible donation.

Is membership connected to any campaign or party?

No. PatriotMurica is independent. Membership exists apart from any electoral activity, and member data is never shared with campaigns, parties or political committees.

What is the member card?

A digital card for every member, free, in the member portal. Each tier has its own design with the American flag along the foot, your name, your member number and a QR code that confirms your membership. It is a membership card, not a form of identification.

Can I get a printed card?

Yes. Order one in the member portal and we mail it to any U.S. address. Printing is included for Patriot and Heritage members, so their first printed card costs only the $4.95 shipping. Digital members can order one for $7.95 printing plus $4.95 shipping, and replacement or extra cards are $7.95 plus $4.95 for everyone.

Do members pay less at the Shop?

Yes. Patriot members pay 10% less than the listed price, and Heritage members pay 15% less and get free shipping on every Shop order. Sign in before you check out and your member price is applied for you. A few items already sell at their lowest price, so they are discounted by less, or not at all.

Do I need a membership to buy from the Shop?

No. Anyone can buy from the Shop at the listed price, and checking out never starts a membership or a subscription. Members who are signed in simply pay their member price. Shipping is $6.95 an order, free on orders of $75 or more, to U.S. addresses.

How do I cancel?

If you joined with PayPal, cancel in your member portal (Membership, then Cancel membership) or in your PayPal account. If you joined by card, cancel in your Shopify customer account at account.patriotmurica.com, under Subscriptions. Nothing more is charged, and your membership continues to the end of the month you have paid for.

What will you send me?

Only what you opt in to. Newsletters, event announcements, chapter updates and reading recommendations each start switched off.
