The 2024 Republican Platform: Make America Great Again!

Approved by the platform committee on July 8, 2024, and formally adopted on July 15 at the Milwaukee convention that nominated Donald J. Trump and J. D. Vance, the platform, whose preamble is headed “America First: A Return to Common Sense,” was far shorter than its recent predecessors and opened with twenty promises. These included sealing the border and carrying out the largest deportation operation in American history, ending inflation, making America the dominant energy producer, large tax cuts for workers including no tax on tips, protecting Social Security and Medicare with no cuts, defending free speech, religious liberty and the right to keep and bear arms, and preventing a third world war.
